Englefield Estate offers a wide variety of opportunities for TV, film and photography.
At the heart of the Estate is Englefield House, an imposing mansion, with a range of richly furnished staterooms. Sitting in 12 acres of formal gardens with woodlands, it is enclosed by a deer park, offering far-reaching views down to our lake and across the Berkshire countryside. A private drive leads up to the House from majestic lodge gates. There is also a splendid 12th century church.
The House and grounds have featured in numerous films and TV programmes including Disney’s ‘Cruella’, Netflix's ‘The Crown’, Warner Bros production ‘Pennyworth', Apple TV’s ‘Masters of the Air’, ITV's crime drama series ‘Unforgotten’ and ‘Endeavour’, and Sky One's ‘A League of Their Own’. Other credits include ‘X:Men First Class’, and ‘The King’s Speech’, as well as TV adverts for EE mobile phone network and Lloyds Bank.
Photography clients include Hyundai, Barbour, Chivas Regal and Burtons Menswear.
The wider Estate has a huge variety of landscapes and backdrops that lend themselves to film and photographic shoots. From extensive woodlands, lakes, and parkland to waterways, marsh lands and chalk pits. These can all be viewed in our ‘Locations Gallery’ [LINK]
Englefield has been welcoming film crews for many years, and we have a dedicated in-house team who ensure that each shoot runs smoothly no matter how large or small.
Our location, within easy reach of London and its airports, makes the Estate an ideal location for film crews travelling from overseas. And there are all the advantages of privacy that come with working on an extensive private estate.
Englefield Estate is also close to Shinfield Studios in Reading, a top-class facility for British film and TV production and near Arborfield Film Studios, which includes stages, office facilities and a large backlot for set construction.

Please note, Englefield House is a private residence and is not open to the public. The gardens are open every Monday, learn more.
